“The government can participate in some cases, including facilitating the transportation of pilgrims to the holy city of Mashhad, the students’ attendance, creating pilgrim hostels, building hospitals around the Holy Shrine, and other social services, which have the direct benefits for the pilgrims and those who are at the vicinity” he reiterated.
“The major benefactors of Astan Quds Razavi, in the decades and centuries before, have dedicated extensive property to the Holy Shrine; however, at the present, the owners having the ability to dedicate major endowments have decreased; therefore, if we take a look at the endowment chart in recent centuries, we will see that the endowment trend is declining” member of the Supreme Council of Khorasan Seminary said, mentioning that from a thousand years ago until now, the foundation of the activities of Astan Quds Razavi has been based on the endowments and the vows.
“Because of the wrong mindsets about the wealth of Astan Quds Razavi among the people and even the nobles, there are many expectations and requests of this organization, which would be good if at least the nobles know our financial state” Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi said, stating that we are interested to clarify the financial state of Astan Quds Razavi.
“Although Astan Quds Razavi has a huge capacity of funds and resources at its disposal, which remains unique, the reality is that this enterprise uses the capital at the present” Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Raeisi enunciated.
“What could be the relief of poverty and deprivation in these areas is the implementation of resistive economic policies, which can be a source of job creation, business expansion, hope raising, and problem solving” Representative of South Khorasan in the Assembly of Experts emphasized, mentioning that some parts of South Khorasan Province due to the decrease of precipitation, are in tough living conditions.
“The direction which Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi has chosen for transparency and management is logical and improves the mindsets” Dr. Ali Tayyebniya, Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance also said at this meeting.
“We have set up the system of government debts, and we are trying to provide the possibility of paying interest of the bonds to creditors by selling Islamic bonds” he said, pointing to the debt of the government to Astan Quds Razavi.
