The head of the department, Raad Kashkul said, "According to the sirections and instructions of the Secretary General of Imam Ali Holy Shrine, Sayyed Nizar Habl al-Mateen to increase green lands in the public squares of the old city and its streets. The second nursery was opened."
He added, "The nursery produces more than 200,000 seasonal seedlings in one year of different shapes, species and varieties and some of these seedlings were introduced for the first time in Iraq."
For his part, the head of the nursery, Sayyed Basim Al-Awadi said, "we have worked for months and self-sufficient efforts and without any financial cost to establish a nursery for seasonal seedlings."
