The poetry evening, in which poets have chanted about love of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), was attended by a number of the guests of the Martyrdom Spring Festival, officials of the two holy shrines and a large gathering of visitors, was held in the holy sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him). It began with the recitation of verses from the holy Quran, followed by many poems about the thought and altruism of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), presented by the poet Ahmed al-Murshidi from the holy city of Karbala, the poet Ali al-Hirzi from Kuwait and the poet Sayf Zaboon from Babylon province, whose poem had great impact on the crowds gathering to celebrate the blessed birth anniversaries in the holy month of Sha'ban.
Followed by a poem of the poet Hossam al-Hamzawi from the western Hamzah District, then the poem of the poet Maytham Faleh from baghdad, then Haydar al-Ghribawi from Wasit, then Haydar Shiya' from the holy city of Karbala. And then the poet Mohamad al-A'ajibi from Muthanna has concluded the evening with his poem that drawn wonderful pictures about the birth anniversaries in the blessed month of Sha'ban, and about the love of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them). The ceremony was concluded by the distribution of the gifts and appreciation certificates to the participating poets.
