Imam Ali (PBUH) Center for Humanitarian Services implements new programs to serve the orphans and the needy families.

The General Secretariat of Imam Ali Holy Shrine continues its humanitarian programs to support orphans and needy families through a humanitarian center (Imam Ali Center for the Care of Orphans and Needy Families).


The director of the center, Karrar al-Shammaa detailed the nature of the Center by saying, "The Center was established according to the instructions of the Secretary General of Imam Ali Holy Shrine. The aim is to provide humanitarian care for the orphans and needy families according to organized programs. The orphans and families were registered in this program. We began to distribute thousands of food baskets throughout the year in addition to the program for the distribution of winter and summer cladding. The programs of distribution of food baskets and summer and winter cladding are continuous throughout the year. The program of the humanitarian center also includes the maintenance and restoration of the falling houses that belongs to the needy families."

Al-Shammaa added, "The Secretary General of Imam Ali Holy Shrine had commanded to start the implementation of a new humanitarian program that differs from the old programs. The new program includes the construction of 136 low-cost houses. The foundation stone of the new project was laid by the Secretary General of the Holy Shrine, The project is called (Al-Mortadah Residential Complex for needy Families) in cooperation with the Office of the Muslim Shiite Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Isehaq Al-Fayyad.
