Offering Medical Services to More Than 1,600,000 People, in the Radius of Razavi Holy Shrine

“More than 1,600,000 people, received medical services of Astan Quds Razavi within the radius of Holy Shrine in 2016” said the Supervisor for Public Relations and Education of Astan Quds Razavi Healthcare Institute.


Seyyed Amir Masoud Shalforushan, pointing to the fact said, “Astan Quds Razavi Healthcare Institute, affiliated to the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.) has been founded in order to serve the pilgrims and neighbors from the endowments of Imam Reza (A.S.) belonging to Safavid era (1931 AH).”
“Inaugurating the new building of Imam (A.S.) Daroshafa in four floors and an area of ​​4939 square meters and using different and new medical equipment, including endoscopy, echocardiography, spirometry etc., and with similar tariffs to those of country’s Ministry of Health public tariffs, for pilgrims and neighbors has become plausible” he added. 
“Imam (A.S.) Daroshafa, with establishment of permanent stations, as well as emergency mobile ones inside the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.), provides emergency services for pilgrims” Shalforushan expressed.
“According to statistics, 1,600,000 people received extensive health care of Holy Shrine Daroshafa, and emergency stations based in various parts of the Razavi sacred places. From this number, the most referred to general practitioners, pharmacies and for injections” he commented.
Shalforushan, pointing to the increase in medical facilities, such as taking advantage of specialists, exercise testing, chemotherapy, as well as advanced radiology devices, added, “Services such as public visit, specialists visit, radiology and sonography, laboratory, dentist, pharmacy, emergency medical service, nursing services such as ECG, injections, serum therapy and emergency treatment are offered in Astan Quds Razavi Healthcare Institute.”  
It should be mentioned, most referrals to this medical institution throughout the last year, have been done at August, September, January and April.
