Secretary General of Imam Ali Holy Shrine announces the opening of Imam Ali Hospital (Peace be upon him) at the end of 2017.

The Secretary General of Imam Ali Holy SHrien, Sayyed Nizar Hashim habl al-Mateen had stressed that the opening of Imam Ali Hospital will be at the end of 2017, stressing that the civil works in the hospital were finalized.


The secretary general said, "At the end of 2017, we shall open Imam Ali Hospital."

He explained that "the construction work in the hospital has been finalized and we are now equipping the medical devices and equipment and preparing the medical staff for the management of the hospital. Imam Ali Holy Shrine is communicate with the concerned authorities to prepare the medical staff."

He added, "The opening of the medical laboratory unit at Imam Ali Holy Shrine is the first step to opening the hospital. The hospital will provide medical and health services to the employees of Imam Ali Holy Shrine, displaced and poor families."

Engineer Haider Ihsan Hashem said, "Imam Ali Hospital project is one of the of vital projects for citizens in particular and visitors in general. The hospital's area is ​​28 thousand square meters. The hospital consists of seven floors with 10 thousands square meters for each floor. The hospital includes 220 beds for patients."

He added, "The ground floor includes medical and therapeutic care services, radiology and emergency and all the necessary supplies for the reception of patients. The first floor includes specialties, consulting clinics, dentistry, management and conference room for 450 people. The second floor includes operating rooms, maternity ward and intensive care. With a total area of ​​49 square meters per room, while the third floor was allocated for non-therapeutic services represented by doctors' restaurant, public restaurant, mosque, medical treatment rooms and special rooms for electrical systems and cooling."

"The fourth floor contains the obstetrics and gynecology, general and internal surgery, neonatal intensive care unit. The fifth floor is for orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, cardiovascular and kidney, nose, ear, throat and internal diseases. The sixth floor contains six VIP halls with a hall doctors, rest and stay of resident doctors."
