Many of them were carried out for the first time in Iraq using modern medical techniques like in the international hospitals, and all of which have been successful, first by the blessings of the name of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) which is the name of the hospital, and thanks to the modern medical equipment and the skills of its medical staff, who had spared no effort in offering the best treatment and service for the sake of the health and comfort of the patients.
Adding: "Since its opening on the sixth of October last year up to the end of June of this year, 7455 different surgeries have been conducted at the hospital." Explaining: "There were some 2088 very important surgeries, 2671 major surgeries, 1171 medium surgeries and 1291 minor surgeries, as well as 234 special surgeries. At the same period, the hospital accommodated 7560 patients."
Dr. Al-Bahadli stressed that: "The hospital administration accelerates the pace to provide better medical, treatment and health services to its patients, and began developing the reassuring and health safety factors. And we hope in the near future, God willing, to expand in providing better services within the plan developed by the General Secretariat of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and the hospital administration to achieve the goals established for it."
It is to mention that aim of the establishment of this project is to support the health sector in Iraq in general and in the province of Karbala in particular, and to complement the previous health projects and to help the local government, as a contribution of the holy shrines of the holy city of Karbala in covering the shortage in the health field. The hospital includes 200 beds, 12 operation rooms, and more than 1000 advanced medical devices in all specialities and examinations and from international origins. It includes also separate sections for gynaecology, infertility, surgery, dental, orthopaedic, cardiology and most of the specialities.
