During the visit, El-Kerbala’e said: “As preachers and educationists, it is our responsibility to demonstrate patriotism and prove the authenticity of Islam after it has been defamed by ISIS.”
He also said that Iraqi people must strengthen their unity, communicate, and assist those who are suffering.
He mentioned to the delegation that the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has been sending convoys of humanitarian aids to the war-torn families of Mosul, as directed by the Shia Muslim Supreme Religious Authority his Eminence sayyid Ali Es-Sestani.
Dr. Umer El-Henefi, member of the Sunnie Muslim Cleric League, said: “The purpose of the visit is to consolidate position with Shia Muslims and to communicate better.”
The best person to communicate with is El-Kerbala’e whose speeches are known for their peacefulness, consolidation, and patriotism, said further Umer.
Es-Sestani is the supporter and the one leader for Iraq, we consider and highly respect, because he is the one who saved Iraqi people from going through worse situations, added Umer.
He then mentioned that they rejected partitioning Iraq, and they would follow the instructions of Es-Sestani.
