In a statement to the Media Center of the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (PBUH), the Head of the Follow-up unit in the center said “The head of the Association, Dr. Ali Adnan al-Ka’bi, commended the role of the Holy Shrine in the workshop and its warm hospitality in receiving them. He observed that the cultural institution in the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali represented by Ameerul Mumineen Center for Translation communicates with the other cultural institution.”
“We participated in this workshop that discussed the role and the influence of the translator with regard to conveying the meaning from the source language to the target language. They discussed the effective methods that develop and raise the cultural level in our society,” he added.
“Some doctors discussed their papers with the attendees and the attendees commented on their papers. Afterwards, they discussed the possibility of establishing a branch of the Iraqi Translators’ Association in Najaf according to the system of the association. The workshop was concluded by conferring honorary degrees on the doctors,” he stated.
