The Al-Abbas Holy Shrine's Department of Planning and Human Development concludes the occupational health and safety course.

The Department of Planning and Human Development of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has concluded in cooperation with the Iraqi Red Crescent Society the course of the occupational health and safety, with a field live practice aiming to disseminate the occupational health and safety culture in all the departments of the holy shrine, and the development of the trainees' skills in first aid.


A number of the employees of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in addition to members of the civil defense and Red Crescent have participated in this course of occupational safety, including how to deal with burns and fractures and how to carry out CPR to the injured in the battle or in normal life. The training was on how to evacuate the injured from inside the battlefield in accordance with the scientific methods that protect the savior from risks as much as possible, as well as the training on the leadership of the first aid team and how to deal with the gunshot wound.

At the end of the course, there was a live practice in cooperation of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society in order to apply all the information learned by the participants during the training course.

The coach Ali 'awdah, official of the lifesaving unit has also stated: "The aim of the life practice is to practice the theoretical side of the course on the ground, and each participant experiences it so he can give the first aid to emergent cases that may happen in any place. Especially that we have ensured that the atmosphere is closer to the reality in order to deepen the training for the participants and making them feel the situation in the best way."
