ISESCO Representative to Attend Launch of Mashhad, 2017 Cultural Capital of Muslim World

The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) will participate in a ceremony marking the launch of Mashhad’s celebration as the Asian region’s Islamic Culture Capital for 2017.


It will be held on Tuesday, January 24, in the holy city of Mashhad, Islamic Republic of Iran.

On this occasion, Amina al-Hajri, ISESCO’s Deputy Director General, will represent ISESCO in this event on behalf of the Director General, the organization’s website reported.

She will deliver an address, in the presence of Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the governor of Khorasan Razavi Province.

On January 23, al-Hajri will hold a coordination meeting with the committee in charge of the celebration to discuss the activities to be implemented in this connection.

On January 25, she will partake in the inauguration of various cultural centers in Mashhad.
