The medical team was led by Dr. Mu'ayyad Al-Naqeeb, who has explained: "The case of the fighter Haidar Saleh is one of several cases treated by the Al-Kafeel Hospital, as during the liberation battles in the area of Al-Salam neighbourhood in Mosul, he was exposed to a direct hit of a rocket that led to the loss of one of his legs, kidney failure and bleeding in his digestive system resulting a deterioration in his health condition day after the other, as he lost almost 20 bags of blood and blood platelets as result of the continuing haemorrhage."
He added: "As soon as he arrived to the hospital, we have examined him and then three surgeries have been conducted to him to stop and control the bleeding, and after vigorous efforts and the resolve of the wounded, we were able to control this condition that was nearly costing him his life, then he was provided by 25 blood bags to replenish what he has lost during the previous period and then he was put in the intensive care unit until the stability of his health condition."
The family of the wounded has expressed their thanks and gratitude to the management of the hospital and the medical team who oversaw the wounded case, because of what they have witnessed of the great attention and care given to his case that made them have hope again, and with Allah's blessings and the efforts made by hospital medical and nursing staffs, his condition is getting better.
It is to note that the General Director of the Al-Kafeel Specialist Hospital; Dr. Haidar Al-Bahadli has announced previously: "Since the opening of this hospital, the General Secretariat of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has given priority to the medical and therapeutic care for the heroes of the sacred defence who are sacrificing their blood for the sake of the honour of this country and so that its land and sanctities are not desecrated by the terrorist ISIL's gangs. Therefore, he has received those wounded in coordination with the medical service of the board of popular mobilization or directly following a work mechanism put by the hospital administration."
