Member of the Supreme Council of the Islamic Seminary of Khorasan, at a meeting with members of the Pilgrimage National Workgroup, stating that the Razavi Holy Shrine is God’s gift for Iran, stressed the role of pilgrimage in reducing abnormalities and social pathologies, and noted, “Initiation to visit the Infallible Imams (A.S.), is of positive and affirmative actions, which can play a significant role in reducing social disorders and damages.”
“The Holy Graves of the Infallibles (A.S.), have essentially the required attractions to be visited, therefore, there is no need for officials to have propagation, rather, they must remove the obstacles from the path of pilgrims” he stated, recounting the pilgrimage, the trigger to shape the worldly life and determination of humans hereafter.
“Every problem and incident on the pilgrimage road could leave resentment and sadness in the mind of the pilgrim from the trip to the holy city of Mashhad for many years, so it is the task of officials, not to allow bitter memories of a trip to the Razavi Holy Court to take shape in a pilgrim’s mind” Member of the Supreme Council of Khorasan Seminary uttered, emphasizing that pilgrims to visit must travel with security, peace and tranquility.
“Every unpleasant memory that is left in the course of initiation to the Imam Reza (A.S.) Holy Shrine, will stay a moment of their pilgrimage memory, it will be recounted, and also affects others” he reiterated.
Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, then, pointed to the spiritual blessings of pilgrimage, and saying that one of the important blessings of the pilgrimage is immunization of the society against cultural invasion, said, “One of the most important strategies for addressing the mental anxiety in the society is spiritual development, and one of the most effective methods for it, is attention to pilgrimage. Pilgrimage is one of the best practices to promote social security and public morality in the country, and certainly one of the most important tasks of the pilgrimage workgroup should be the facilitation of pilgrimage.”
“A person involved in the pilgrimage of Imam Reza (A.S.) avoid sin and perversity for a while, and thanks to the effects of the pilgrimage, will be safe from many social abnormalities, hence, facilitating the pilgrimage is an important strategy for preserving Islamic values in the society” he reminded, mentioning pilgrimage as the cause for transcendence of the spirituality in human.
Member of the Supreme Council of Khorasan Seminary, stressing the necessity for a comprehensive and versatile viewpoint to the needs of pilgrims, said “Pilgrimage of Imam Reza (A.S.), is not limited only to the Razavi Holy Shrine, but all the needs of pilgrims from the source and back to the destination should be met.”
“All the processes involved in the pilgrimage, including road, rail, routes, hotels, streets, etc., in this field must be paid attention to” he enunciated, mentioning facilitation of pilgrimage, the duty of all officials and concerned authorities in all relevant departments.
“Due to the threats that involve all Holy Graves at this time; still large masses of pilgrims at the height of security in the holy city of Mashhad pay their visit, which comes first from the blessings of Imam Reza (A.S.), and then, round-the-clock efforts of security forces” Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi asserted in the end, pointing to the presence of large masses of pilgrims in the holy city of Mashhad.
It is worth mentioning that in the beginning of the meeting, Mohammad Shariatmadari, Head of the National Workgroup of Pilgrimage, and Alireza Rashidian, the General Secretary, made speeches and offered a short report on actions and activities of the workgroup.
