The supervising engineer of the project Mr. Ali al-Akaishi said, "With field supervision by the secretary general of Imam Ali Holy Shrine, the setting up of the first big transforming unit was done and this is the first transforming station out of three that came from the Electric Ministry.
The capability of each transforming Unit is 70 Mega – Watt. Staffs of Electric Ministry shall install the transforming units as first stage and later will be setting up the equipment of the station."
