In an interview, Hujjat al-Islam Hashim Abu-Khamsin, an Iraqi cleric and a fighter, referred to a Daesh truck bomb which exploded at a gas station in the village of Shomali in the suburbs of al-Hillah and killed at least 73 people, including many Iranian pilgrims who had completed their Arba’in pilgrimage to the Iraqi holy city of Karbala, and said that this action by the enemies was an attempt to sabotage the Arba’in pilgrimage and such actions were no different from the actions of the enemies of the Prophet Muhammad – Abu Sufyan, Abu Jahl and Mu’awiyah.
He said that during that time, the infidels and hypocrites attempted to distort the faithful and truthful image of the Prophet and pure Muhammadan Islam and for this reason, they spread many lies and slander about the personality of Messenger of God.
“The media of that time sought to prevent the development of Islam and keep it limited to the house of the Prophet and this had to be done either through the sword or by spreading lies and slander through the media,” the Iraqi cleric said.
Hujjat al-Islam Abu-Khamsin added that now the Arba’in pilgrimage has united all Shi’ahs, sources of emulation and even sects and parties and has defended the culture of the oppressed against the oppressors and has defended the honour, sanctities and Shi’ism and even other religions.
His Eminence stressed that Arba’in is the reviver of morals, benevolence, courage and religious fervour and provides motivation to defend the shrines and motivation for the Popular Mobilization Forces and for all the free people of the world.
“This pilgrimage is a major setback for the Abu Sufyan’s, the Yazid’s and the Umayyad’s of the current era, especially the Wahhabis,” he added.
He said that the media of the ruling families of Saudi Arabia and Qatar, who are actually Kharijites and unbelievers of the current era, are attempting to defame and slander Arba’in and have chosen the current time to take revenge because the glory of this ceremony has crushed them.
“They feel that Arba’in is more effective than Hajj but Arba’in is based on the policies of Islam and defends the honour and the ethics of Islam. Thus, this year the enemies have tried to desecrate the people of honour and courage,” Hujjat al-Islam Abu-Khamsin said.
