This graceful ritual, tonight, coinciding with the Safar 29th, after performing evening and night prayers, was held in the Inqilab courtyard of Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Reza (A.S.) Holy Shrine with presence of Ayatollah Alam al-Hoda, Representative of the Supreme Leader in Khorasan Razavi, Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Raeisi, Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, Ali Reza Rashidian, the Governor of Khorasan Razavi, Seyyed Morteza Bakhtiari, Deputy custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, and servants of Razavi Illuminated Shrine.
During sermon Reading of the eve of Safar 30th,1438, the Illuminated Shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.) which was teemed with the fragrance of martyrdom and veterans, for the first time, honored martyrs’ families of the Holy Defense and Shrine Defenders, proud veterans with spinal cord complications, and a group of relatives of those demised in the road of Imam Reza (A.S.) pilgrimage blessed the ceremony.
Also at the event, special memorials special to Husseinic Fortieth martyrs and those passed away in the road to Imam Reza (A.S.) pilgrimage, were placed in the Inqilab courtyard of the Holy Shrine.
This solemn ceremony began, reading Holy Quran by Javad Panahian, of prominent Quran readers of the country and the servant of Razavi Holy Shrine, and then, the Grand custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, in remarks mentioned the success to pilgrim Razavi Court, an opportunity for self-realization and spiritual transcendence, and expressing that Astan Quds Razavi is a great human building school and knowledge enhancement said, “The pilgrims in this divine court, and in the presence of Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Reza (A.S.) build up their sagacity and capacity. Astan Quds Razavi is a human building school, where the blessed being of the learned of the household of the Prophets (S.A.W.) is the teacher, and all devotees and lovers of the sacred realm of the Infallibles Imams (AS) are students.”
“In this transcended school, what is necessary for the development, growth, and prosperity of a God seeking human, will be achieved with the help of a great position of Imam Reza (A.S.). In this heavenly courtyard and house, the pilgrims learn the devotion, and altruism in the light of monotheism” Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi reiterated.
“This sermon has been never a ceremonial ritual, but emanates from a steadfast conviction and a heartfelt faith. Beliefs and convictions to monotheism, Prophethood, Imamate, Wilayat, and resurrection are highlighted in this sermon” Member of the Supreme Council of Khorasan Seminary said, pointing to sermon of Imam Reza (A.S.) martyrdom night.
“Due to being grateful for the blessing of the Islamic Government, in the sermon of this night, we salute the divine spirit of the government founder, and pray for dignity and health of his rightful successor” he said, expressing that the sacred government of the Islamic Republic was a phenomenon, which is based on the Quran and the teachings of pure Islam.
“In the conduct of Imam Reza (A.S.) and his noble ancestors, always paying attention to the deprived, the weak and the needy has been stressed, therefore, Razavi servants, as manifestations of trainees in the presence of Samen al-Hujaj (A.S.) must have morals, manners, behavior, and speech based on Razavi thought and conduct” Board member of the Assembly of Experts, in another part of his speech said, pointing to the Septet Charter of Supreme Leader for Astan Quds Razavi.
Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, while seeking the help from the holy presence of Imam Reza (A.S.) for the success in solving the problems of the needy and deprived, stressed the need for spiritual relativity between the Shrine and the sanctum and pointed out “In the host culture to pilgrims, we must act in such a way, as if the shrine and the sanctum are one space, not only holy Mashhad and Khorasan province, but all Islamic Iran should have Razavi manifestation and rhythm.”
At the event, Razavi Illuminated Shrine servants, while having lit tulip candles in their hands, circled around the Inqilab courtyard, and Razavi helpers, in ordered lines, stood in the middle of the courtyard, and by elegy and dirge reading, expressed their condolences on the martyrdom of their master, Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Reza (A.S.) to the heavenly presence of Imam Mahdi (A.S.).
Following the ceremony, the sermon of Imam Reza (A.S.) martyrdom night was read by Mohammed Movahed. This sermon, contains the testimony to the oneness of the Almighty God, praising the God, and saluting the Messenger of God (S.A.W.), as well as greetings to the Infallible Imams (A.S.), the martyrs, and Imam Khomeini (R.A.) and also wishing health and long life for the Supreme Leader.
After reading this sermon, servants of Imam Reza (A.S.) Court, along with Ahmad Vaezi and candles, shed tears of mourning. Another part of the ritual was allocated to elegy reading in Persian, Arabic, and Azeri.
It should be noted that sermon-reading ritual of Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Reza (A.S.) is held twice a year on the nights of the martyrdom of Imam Reza (A.S.) and Ashura.
