Imam Hussein[AS] is the grandson of Prophet Muhammad [PBUH] who was martyred in the 7th century C.E. while taking on corruption and tyranny.
Adel Saheb was among those who marched Sunday, and he said they were there to show there are many Muslims who are committed to peace.
"We want to tell all our brothers of Islam that we are sending a message of peace and love,” he said.
"We are against ISIS (Daesh). We are against Al Qaeda. They are a totally different and brutal version of, what they call themselves Muslim, which they are not.”
The march is an annual event.
