On the eve of Ashura, while all the holy places and the courtyards of the Razavi Holy Shrine were crowded by mourners, through lamenting and mourning of the Infallible Imams (A.S.) preachers, the hearts of thousands of pilgrims and neighbors of the Holy Shrine are shaken, remembering the loneliness of Imam Hussein (A.S.), and heart’s ears heard the chant of ‘where is a helper to help me’ louder than ever.
Mourning for the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (A.S.) in the Razavi Holy Shrine, coupled with the ceremony of Ashura Prayer reading, and then, the preachers and admirers of the household of the Apostle of God (S.A.W.) started to preach and breast-beating.
Ayatollah Raeisi, the Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, speaking on the philosophy of Ashura said, “Before Ashura, from Adam to the last Prophet (S.A.W), as well as the Infallible Imams (A.S.) all have pointed to the Karbala incident, and Imam Ali (A.S.) in a tradition, while highlighting the land of Karbala said, ‘This is a land, in which my son Hussein will be martyred, and the heads will go on spears.’”
“The companions of Imam Hussein (A.S.), when helping him, abandoned whatever that was non-God, thus, when Imam Hussein (A.S.) saw the loyalty of his companions, revealed a bit of paradise and their position” he stated, calling Ashura as a comprehensive program for guiding humanity.
Board member of the Assembly of Experts, introduced the goal of Imam Hussein (A.S.) as enjoining good and forbidding wrong, and said, “Imam Hussein (A.S.) in a picture as great as Ashura, taught all nations the lesson of freedom and gratitude.”
“Now, apart from the Shi’ites, the Christians, Sunnis and other sects and religions are also devoted to Imam Hussein (A.S.), because Abu Abdullah (A.S.), as a divine authority, looks for the guidance of all the world” he reiterated.
“Imam Hussein (A.S.) on day and night of Ashura, was looking for guidance of the enemy, even in the last moments before his martyrdom, he preached and advised the Shemmr” Ayatollah Raeisi expressed.
