The ceremonies included reciting poems and mourning processions.
The Head of Processions Committee Sheikh Ebrahim al-Badri, described the efforts of Imam Ali Holy Shrine in arranging the processions by saying, "The Imam Ali Holy Shrine has devoted a great deal of effort to arrange the processions. The western side of Imam Ali Holy Shrine witnessed the ceremonies of Mashael, which started on the eighth night of Muharram and they are going to end on the tenth night."
