Mohammad Javad Soleimai in an interview with Shabestan news agency said that the idea of separating Islam from politics is wrong. The religion of Islam guides us about all the aspects of life including economy and politics. He said that Islam also guides us about how to run a government.
He pointed towards the battle of Karbala and said that the rise of Imam Hussain (AS) proved that Islam is not separate from politics. He said that the battle of Karbala proved that Islam encourages us to take part in politics and discourage us to stay away from politics.
He said that Islam not only encourage us to take part in politics but also believes in peace and prosperity. He said that Muslim nation cannot achieve peace and prosperity by staying away from politics.
He said that all the Imams (AS) took part in politics.
When Syed ul Shohada Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) left Medina, he said that he wanted to do “enjoining the good and forbidding the evil and follow the footsteps of his father Hazrat Ali (AS) and grandfather Hazrat Muhammad (Peace be upon him). He said that Imam Hussain (AS) stood against injustice just like his father and grandfather.
