It includes 30 houses with an estimated population of 650 people, and is a subsidiary of the province of Dhi Qar and located between Shatra district from north and Nasr area.
This village -according to its people- has recorded a large number of cases of congenital disability and mental disorders diseases, which is caused by their dependence on a small irrigation canal as a source of drinking water in the absence of any government water networks or station for purification and treatment. And this situation continued for four years until their calls reached the servants of the Master Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), making his palms stretch to save them from this tragic situation by establishing for them an integrated water treatment plant with a sufficient equipment capacity for the village since months, and the residents of this city started living under these blessings drinking from its fresh water, which the government authorities failed to provide.
During the recent visit of the delegation of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine headed b the official of the Department of rituals, processions and Hussayni bodies at the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), Haj Ryad Ni'mah Al-Salman, he found that the city's status of drinking water has changed, and its residents are enjoying this blessing, as he said: "After that we were informed about this problem from the unit of the Hussayni rituals at Shatrah, we have transferred it to the General Secretariat of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, which has agreed immediately to create this humanitarian project, which was able to meet the needs of this village, as it depended previously only on drinking water of a canal of 7 kilometres, which was their only source of drinking water, and water for cooking, washing."
At the end of the visit, the people of the village have conveyed their thanks and gratitude for this humanitarian step that the government failed to provide for many years, hoping at the same time the implementation of other projects they have asked for in the near future.
