Quran Competition Concludes at Imam Ali’s (AS) Holy Shrine

The 6th edition of a monthly Quran memorization and recitation competition was held by the Dar-ol-Quran Center of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Ali’s (AS) holy shrine in Najaf, Iraq.


The Quran Teaching Section of the center, affiliated to the Religious Affairs Office of the Astan, organized the competition, which is aimed at enhancing the Quranic skills of the Dar-ol-Quran’s students.

Muhammad Zaki Al-Hasani, deputy of the section, said that the contest is held every month.

Memorization of the number of Quranic verses as well as the page number of the verses were also added to the categories of this edition of the Quranic event.

60 Quran activists, including 50 Quran memorizers and 10 reciters aged from 9 to 16 participated in the contest.

The monthly Quranic event is part of the programs planned by the Dar-ol-Quran to identify Quranic talents and develop Quranic activities in the region.
