Early in the morning on Saturday, 23rd of Mordad/ 13th of August, and after the sunrise, the replacement ceremony of the shift of watch house was done with the eulogy recitations of Hajj Ahmad Waezi, panegyrists of Household of the Apostle of God (S.A.W). Ayatollah Safi Golpaygani, Shi’ite authority of imitation, Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Raeisi, custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, custodians of other Shi’ite holy shrines, and a group of country's officials were present at this ceremony.
In continuation of this ceremony, the traditional and spiritual ritual of Saffah was done while holy Qur'an was being recited by the Razavi Shrine's servants. Then, the cover of the Razavi chamber and also dome's flag were transferred by a group of Sadat (descendents of holy Prophet) servants to be replaced with old ones. The servants did all this while reciting elegies.
Flag of Imam Reza's (A.S.) Holy Shrine is replaced several times and most official ones include: beginning of Muharram and Rabi al-Awal months and birthday of Imam Reza (A.S.).
It should be noted that IRIB channels had a live broadcast of the ceremony and took hearts of millions of people to the Razavi Holy Shrine.
