Iraqi Students Quranic Course Concludes in Karbala

A specialized course on Quranic concepts, recitation and Tajweed principles was recently held for students of Iraqi universities in the holy city of Karbala.


The course was jointly organized by the Astans (custodianships) of the holy shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS).

Sheikh Mazin Al-Karbalayi, Iraqi religious scholar and Quran researcher, and Sheikh Kheyruddin Ali Al-Hadi, senior Iraqi Quran expert, respectively taught Quranic concepts and the principles of Waqf and Ibtida.

Tajweed principles, jurisprudential issues and human sciences were the other themes of the course instructed by scholars Nasib Muhammad Hindawi, Muhammad Al-Mousawi and Safa Al-Seilawi.

Students from different universities of Iraq participated in the classes held in two sections in the morning and evening for 15 days.

The closing ceremony of the course was addressed by Seikh Kheyruddin Al-Hadi, head of the Joint Committee of the Astans for Quranic activities in universities of Iraq, and Sheikh Mazin Al-Karbalayi.

The participants were granted certificates of attendance at the end of the course.
