Imam Hussein’s Dar-ol-Quran Center held international Quran reading session in Karbala / Pics

The Dar-ol-Quran Center of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine held an international Quran reading session with the participation of eminent Iranian Quran reciters in the holy city of Karbala.


The Dar-ol-Quran Center of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine held an international Quran reading session with the participation of eminent Iranian Quran reciters in the holy city of Karbala.

According to the website of the Husseini Astan, the program was held on May 25 as a sideline program of the 11th edition of “Rabee’-ul-Shahadah” international cultural festival.

Quran recitation by Haj Adel Al-Karbalayi, Qari and Muazzin of the Astan, was the first part of the program.

Ali Al-Khafaji, head of the Association of Quran Memorizers and Reciters affiliated to the Astan of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine, said that a number internationally-known Quran reciters of the Muslim world including Seyyed Javad Husseini from Iran, Abdullah Ahmad Ibil from Kuwait, Abbas Sharafuddin from Lebanon, and Hamid Ghuban from the holy city of Mashhad attended the program.

Students of the Dar-ol-Quran Center also performed a Quranic program at the courtyard of the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of the third infallible Imam on May 24.
