Iranian Scholars condemn death sentence of Sheikh Nimr in Saudi Arabia

Grand Shiite clerics and scholars of Iran backlashed against the death sentence of renowned Shiite scholar Sheikh Nimr of Saudi Arabia.


Grand Shiite clerics and scholars of Iran backlashed against the death sentence of renowned Shiite scholar Sheikh Nimr of Saudi Arabia. 

Renowned religious scholar of Iran; Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani while responding to the death sentence of Sheikh Nimr, said that the outcome of this order won’t be good hence it should be reviewed. He said that the only crime of Sheikh Nimr is that he raised his voice against injustice. 

Another Shiite scholar Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi said in response to Sheikh Nimr’s death sentence that Saudi Arabia should take care of the rights of people who are following other beliefs. He said that Sheikh Nimr only raised his voice for his rights; he had not murdered anyone. He said that if Sheikh Nimr will be executed then the consequences will not be good for Saudi Arabia. 

Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani while showing response on Shiekh Nimr’s death sentence said that everyone knows about the crimes of the Saud family, we should not remain silent over this issue. 

Another renowned scholar of Iran, Ayatollah Jawwadi Amoli said in the response to this sentence that if Saud family executes this religious scholar then their rule will be ended as a consequence of this execution. 

It should be remembered that a conference in protest has also been held in Madrisa Faizia in Qom against the death sentence of Sheikh Nimr and Friday prayer leader of Qom Ayatollah Saidi addressed the session.
