Al-Abbas Holy Shrine's Division of Childhood and Youth concludes its Scout camp named "Camp of Fatima Ma'soomah (peace be upon her)"

The service compound of Sheikh Al-Kulayni of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and located on the road Baghdad - Karbala, has embraced the closing ceremony of the scout camp held by the division of childhood and youth of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the holy shrine for the Boy Scouts and Rangers and entitled "the camp of Fatima Al-Ma'soomah (peace be upon her)".


This camp, which lasted for five days, was held with the participation of more than 100 boy scouts in order to develop the intellectual and physical abilities of the students and investing their free time thanks to the intellectual and physical programs that included sports, mental games and competitions in addition to religious and human development lectures with a practical training of Fire-fighting and other skills.

The closing ceremony, which was attended by the head of the Department of the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, has started with the recitation of verses of the Book of Allah, followed by the show of some of the boy scouts, presenting a practical application of the skills they have learned in this camp, either in the first aid, or fire extinguishing or other skills. The participants have expressed their thanks and gratitude to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine that established and nurtured such camps, which contribute to the building of their personalities and give them the sufficient experience in the process of their lives.

The closing ceremony had also a guiding word of the head of the Department of the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the holy shrine; Sayed Laith Al-Musawi in which he had thanked the blessed efforts made by those in charge of this camp, expressing his admiration for the important information and different skills gained by the boy scouts, stating: "I think that this is a great opportunity for you, as camps has taught you many skills and knowledge, either in regards to religion or in the field of human development, in addition to lot of skills and various abilities along with learning patience. Thus it is necessary to keep them in order to improve our work."

It is to mention that the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine holds and sponsors many of the intellectual and cultural programs inside and outside the holy shrine, such as the scouts' camps that serve the students in order to contribute to consolidating and entrenching the principles of Islam and its teachings according to the school of the Holy Prophet and Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and the love of the homeland and citizenship and flesh them out in their behaviors and public lives.
