Seyyed Morteza Bakhtiari, at the Astan Quds Razavi managers’ meeting, which was held by the presence of Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, deputies, directors and officials of the central organization, cultural institutions and economic companies of Astan Quds Razavi said, “The staff and directors of this holy institution, are particularly concerned about the implementation of the guidelines of the Supreme Leader with the centrality of resistive economy in all activities and measures of the current year.”
“As an example, with the opening of the first phase of Razavi pilgrim city, a useful and lasting employment opportunity was provided to serve the endeared pilgrims of Imam Reza (A.S.)” he stated.
Organizational Development, the Requirement of New Missions
“Given the new missions that were outlined for the Astan Quds Razavi establishment, the setup of new structures and the review of the management system were among the first and most important steps taken” Bakhtiari asserted.
“In addition to creating new structures, the revision and notification of thirteen organizational charts were also carried out according to new missions and in the context of a major structural change” Deputy Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi enunciated.
He mentioned maintaining coherence among institutes and specialized establishments of Astan Quds Razavi in scientific areas, in pursuit of national and international authority, among other basic measures of Astan Quds Razavi in the new era.
Pilgrim Orientation; the Most Important Priority
Deputy Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, stressing that Razavi Holy Shrine and serving pilgrims have always been the most important issues emphasized by Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi said, “Serving the pilgrims, with four approaches of pilgrimage for pilgrims, increased construction and well-being services in the Holy Shrine, the qualification of cultural services and accommodation of pilgrims are the main focal points.”
Bakhtiari mentioned the launch of the first phase of the Razavi pilgrim city, and 40% development in Phase 2, 80% development of first phase of the Razavi hostel near the Imam Reza’s (A.S.) Shrine, of other measures to increase the welfare of the pilgrims.
Deputy Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, referring to the 30% progress of the operation of the industrial kitchen in the vicinity of Razavi pilgrim city, said, “Our intention is to increase the opportunity for the endeared pilgrims to enjoy the blessed food of Imam Reza (A.S.) and for this purpose, in the first six months of this year about four million and 900 thousand people were received at the Hazrat’s guesthouse (equal to the total catering figure of 2016).”
Razavi's Compassion for the Needy in the Country
Further he called serving the needy and oppressed people, inspired by the guidelines of the Supreme Leader in the Nowruz speech, the highlighted and brilliant performance of Astan Quds Razavi and reiterated, “By emphasis of the Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, the implementation of empowerment projects for the needy, entrepreneurship, employment and wiping deprivation, are the priority of the actions in this area.”
“In the first six months of this year, 40,000 blessed packets of Razavi's aliments have been distributed among the country's needy, grew by 200% compared to the same period in 2016” Deputy Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi added.
“The assignment of a 500 square meter of land to the Society for the Blind of Khorasan Razavi in order to sell the products of more than 360 of vision-impaired individuals, and the assignment of the Shajareh shopping center with 46 shops for the supply of the productions of industries and household jobs, are other most important actions of the current year in order to realize the resistive economy, production and employment” he expressed.
“Restoration of 110 Qanats in Khorasan Razavi, providing medical and dental services to 50,000 deprived people in the country by health servant’s assistants, and feeding 1,200,000 people with the participation of public organizations across the country, are the measures taken in pursuit of the implementation of the Septet Charter of the Supreme Leader” Bakhtiari stated.
Maximum Utilization and Enhancement of Cultural Capacity
Deputy Custodian of the Astan Quds Razavi, in another part of his speech, pointing out the fourth clause of the appointment decree of the Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, and the enormous cultural capacity of the establishment stated, “The necessity to influence the public atmosphere of the country and the Muslim world with the help of cultural elites, and making the most of this unparalleled capacity in promoting the Quranic teachings and the school of Infallible Imams (A.S.) is one of the most important aspects of the Supreme Leader’s expected criteria, to which we have been addressing.”
“Launching and equipping Imam Reza's (A.S.) satellite network, activating the permanent headquarters of Astan Quds Razavi's special occasions, extracting the system of cultural issues from high-ranking state and Astan Quds Razavi’s documents and developing cultural priorities, publishing 450 books with the circulation of 3,210,000 copies in the Astan Quds Razavi’s printing office, and the design and production of 100 products, including the Islamic-Iranian stationery inspired by the repertoire of the inscriptions and patterns and architecture of the Razavi Shrine are activities carried out in the first six months of this year” he remarked
“By allocating the space of the Imam Reza's (A.S.) cultural and educational camp in the Bildar area, the camps of Mehr pilgrims was arranged and the accommodating of more than 7,000 first-time boys’ and girls’ pilgrims from deprived areas throughout the country for three days was taken place” he said.
Development of Science and Technology in Astan Quds Razavi
“Due to the existing infrastructure, such as the Khorasan seminary school, the international universities of Imam Reza (A.S.) and Razavi Islamic sciences, Razavi hospital and Imam’s Dar al-Shafa, reaching the scientific authority of the Muslim world as the horizon and perspective of activities in the field of science and technology was outlined” Deputy Custodian of the Astan Quds Razavi enunciated.
“Setting up the Astan Quds Razavi Health Foundation and participation of fifty professors of the Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, the formation of scientific teams for the study and research of Astan Quds Razavi’s intended topics including the subjects of art and architecture, audio, health, and energy industry of the holy shrine, a revision on the fields of study in Razavi Islamic University, and the establishment of a memorandum of cooperation with national scientific centers, including the scientific presidential deputy, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and Shahid Beheshti University have been other most important measures in this area” he said.
Safeguarding and Developing Endowments and Vows
Deputy Director of Astan Quds Razavi, emphasized the importance of developing the endowments and vows as the most important sources of income of Astan Quds Razavi and said, “Establishing an endowment and vows offices in the Razavi Holy Shrine with the approach to develop the endowments and vows, pursuit and fostering the culture of endowment and vows and their various types in society are the most fundamental steps.”
Stating that in order to safeguard the endowments, all endowment documents were collected, re-read, and rewritten he said, “Providing consultation, investigation, accepting endowment and peace, including participatory, etc., and setting 124 new endowments in the first six months of this year are other activities that have been done with regard to the endowments.”
Organizing Economic Activities
“The economic activities of this holy establishment on the resistive economy, and with the approach of optimal use of existing capacities, in line with the prosperous production, development and service activities, especially the improvement of agriculture, with the goal of realizing the slogan of the year and sustainable employment have been made” Deputy Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi expressed.
“In order to fulfill these ambitious goals, Astan Quds Razavi Investment Center was established to finance Astan Quds Razavi and in the organizational structure and arranging the organization, by creating seven specialized working groups including agriculture, animal husbandry and conversion industries, roads, construction and mining, industry, health and medicine, financial and energy services were revised” he stated.
He mentioned the participation in the construction of the Mashhad-Chenaran-Quchan freeway with the participation of the Ministry of Road and Urban Development in order to facilitate the arrival and departure of pilgrims of Razavi Court to Mashhad, as the positive and important measures taken.
