165 publishing houses have participated in the book fair. They displayed a vast variety of books concerning religion, society, family, children, women, literature, etc.
The head of the Spiritual Service League, Ferhan Nashid, from Egypt, said, “As a Christian publishing house, this is the first time we are participating in Kerbela International Book Fair, and we never felt we are strangers, we have been shown facilitation, kindness, and respect by Muslims in Kerbela.”
He also said that it was the first time for them to participate in a book fair without expenses at all.
The representative of the Egyptian Christian Fraternity Publishing House said, “It is important for the Christian publishing houses to participate in such book fairs in order to familiarize themselves with the culture of other people, especially we live with them in the same country.”
