Hujjat al-Islam Dr. Reza Daneshvar Thani said, “Cleaning and scenting is the fourth headline for utilization of the revenues of the endowments of Astan Quds Razavi that includes such affairs as cleaning and scenting the Razavi sacred premises.”
“Throughout history, some endowers of Astan Quds Razavi have assigned their endowments to cleaning and scenting the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.)”, he added.
“With a glance at these endowments we find out that the late Ganj Ali Khan Zeik is one of the oldest endowers of the fourth headline who endowed in 1008 A.H./1599 all aqueducts of Ganjabad village, the whole shares of Ba’liabad Garden known as Abbas Abad Garden, all resources and channels of 139 shared portion of Ba’liabad aqueduct, and the whole Ganj Ali khan Caravanserai located in Kerman Mahmudi Bazaar”, he added.
“In the endowment letter of Ganj Ali Khan Zeik it has been specified that a sum from his endowments shall be assigned to sweeping the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.) every year”, he noted.
“The latest endowment in this head chapter is related to the late Fathullah Mirza Qahremani in 1351 A.H./1932 who has endowed two shares and seventeen hours and ten minutes of the sixteen-share circle of Shadmehr Muhammadabad Farm to Astan Quds Razavi”, Vice President of Endowments and Legal Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi reiterated.
“Examining the endowment revenues of this endower reveals that the late Qahremani has assigned his endowment after subtracting the cost of custodian fee to illumination and cleaning of the Holy Shrine”, he said.
